  All you wanna do - Rehearsal 2 One thing that I have noticed from watching this video back is that I need to keep my eye line up as sometimes it tends to drop throughout the number, so I need to make sure that I don't lose it and keep eye contact with the audience during the number so that I can portray the theme of this dance which is sexy, and the Bob Fosse stylistic features help to signify the meaning behind this number.  Although I have recently researched my character now, and I understand her characteristics more, I still feel like I need to add more into my performance as whilst watching myself back on videos, I can't understand my character so although I might feel like I'm creating my character during rehearsals, I need to be more over the top with my characterisation and facial expressions so that the audience are fully able to connect and understand my character.  So, my target for rehearsals are going to stay the same as before such as my characterisation a...

All you wanna do - Rehearsal 1 Today was our first rehearsal of this number and it became very clear as we were learning the choreography that although it is a very long song, there are 4 choruses which we use to show repetition within the number. This dance contains strong stylistic features of jazz dance as is mainly in the style of Fosse.  The top picture here shows one move that we do which is a forward lean with shoulder shrugs. Different types of leans are a stylistic feature of Fosse and another thing that we have to think about during this move is keeping eye contact with the audience and making this eye contact very sensual as Fosse was all about the sexuality appeal through his choreography. The bottom picture shows the backwards lean with shoulder shrugs and something that both moves have in common is the sense of shifting the bodyweight over each leg.
